Enterprise TeamSite Production Deployment

I am in the process of designing/planning a production environment of TeamSite and cannot find any docs or guidance on setting up solutions with failover. Are there best practices in deployment planning for a solution with a second server for hot failover? How can the iw-store be synchronized (as close to real-time as possible) for this type of environment?

With the help of a very experienced consultant. This has been done. It is not trivial but you can. I certainly hope you have IWOV coming in to help with this.

Our admin setup a job for nightly backingstore backups. He's in training all week so I can't provide more details at this time.

You need to ensure that if you are setting up TeamSite in a hot standby failover mode, that you are failing over to a secondary server only when a hardware failure or a fatal software failure such as unexpected server shutdown etc.. Also, do not configure the standby server to point to the same backing store as the one that is being used by the primary server. Find a way to replicate the primary backing store and use the replicated store as the backing store for the standby server..

There are a lot of things to consider before you set up TeamSite in a hot standby mode and I would recommend that you talk to Interwoven Consulting about best practices..

Is a proper standby/failover feature ever going to be productized? Is there an active FR we should be pinging support about? Or, does one need to be filed?

Even I am facing the same problem , as i am unable to find any documents dealing with failover.
