VALUE("iw_workarea") variable not getting populated.

Hi,

Currently i am migrating workflows from TS552 to TS65SP2 and problem i am getting is that __VALUE__("iw_workarea") value is not getting populated in attached wft file. I am calling this work flow as the 'New Job'.

Please let me know if there are any any changes in TS6.5 with reagard to fetching this variable value

Could you please provide the error text being displayed to you. Also have you tried to run the workflow in debug mode?

From what interface are you trying to get it ? Do other variables (iw_user) work ?

Sometimes the GUI does not have a reference to a workarea, so that will be blank, eps when you are using new_job from the task list.

Nipper to answer your question: There was a bug reported way back that that iw_workarea is not passed into iwwft_instantiator when no file is selected before initiating the 'new job' work flow. But this was then reported to be fixed in subsequent patch release.

Which GUI are you using (CCStd or CCPro)?
From which "screen" or "servlet" (or whatever), in the GUI are you attempting to launch the workflow?

What operation are you performing (New Job, Submit, etc.)?

We had the same problem a while back and the official patch fixed it without problem (on win2k3).
