Replace # in regex

Hi I want to use remap in iwproxy , to do a work around for some bug. I need to remove # from /default/main/wwwDEVPlyGrnd/CONTENTBr/WORKAREA/CONTENTAREA/zz_tst_#tnigam_0_1_#tnigam_preview.htm

what should be the regex to remove all # in the string.

Is there any chance you could change the userid to not include a '#' (I'm not sure that's even a "legal" userid - though you're talking about Windows and who knows what the heck they use as guidelines). I'd suggest following a more sane userid conevention: (alpha)(alphanumeric)+
You will find you have far fewer problems from TeamSite, from various scripts floating around for use with TeamSite, and for various other applications (that may have nothing whatsoever to do with an Interwoven product).

Besides - changing the proxy rule here won't help - because the file is getting created with the '#' in its filename - right? So if you remove the '#' via proxy - it will just end up pointing to a non-existent file.

My problem is the contractors in our company always have # infront of your userids so I can't change that fact. Smiley Sad

Well, since you're stuck with that problem - the only thing I can suggest is that you read the UICG and replace the OOTB Preview function with a custom function that strips off the '#' before creating the filename to use with iwpt_compile.ipl for performing the preview operation.

It takes a bit of effort to find all the places you need to delete and replace the OOTB function - but it can be done (I did it at one of my customer sites close to two years ago - sorry, I don't have the files to provide instant references)
