Utility to auto generate Doc folders in WSMP

Hello,
Is anyone aware of a utility to auto generate document folder objects in a workspace. The idea is to automatically generate a number of document folders in a workspace and profile the folders with information provided from a case management system.

Would these folders be generated in an existing Collaborative WorkSpace or in a new one? There is a command line utility for creating WorkSpaces, projects and folders based on a template. It is possible this could be used to automate your process as desired, but not if the intent is to automate folder creation in existing WorkSpaces. For more information on the create workspace utility, review TechNote 122005-1421 on the WorkSite MP Tech Support site. I'd be interested to learn more about what you are hoping to accomplish and begin tracking the necessary enhancement requests.

You could always build templates of "skeleton" workspaces and then create new workspaces based on those templates. See one of the lessons in the "WorkSite MP Web Components: Getting Started Guide".

It means using the web interface which might not meet your requirements, but it certainly does the trick.

You can get pretty fancy; applying security policies, prepopulating with standard documents etc. etc. etc.

The trick that I'm investigating is how to expose these templates to the Office / Outlook integration... if anyone has any thoughts on that I'd be grateful.

What we are trying to accomplish is the following. Using nightly output (case#, name and D.O.B) from an existing Case Mgmt System we would like to automatically create a document folder on an existing workspace and automatically profile the document folder with the metadata output from the Case Mgmt System.
