LiveSite "Create Site" Screen

Hello Will/Shannon,

Thanks a lot for your ideas on the mail component and component update related issues. It was really helpful.

I have a very basic question. Is it possible for me to to customize the livesite site creation screen so that a user is forced to:

Create a site from a predefined site template. (I presume that site template is nothis but a site which the user choses in "[color=#000000]Create From" drop down. If its some thing else please let me know.)[/color]
Use only the DIV layout. (Remove the tab layout option.)

Thridlly can I want to remove the Site Addresses dropdown.

Please help.

It's not possible to customize this screen, BUT...

1. The sites presented in the "Copy From" drop-down are only those sites for which the user has file-system read access. So, you can restrict a user by giving them a group membership that only has permission to read those sites which they need to work with.

2. You can eliminate the Tabled Layout option by removing it from your pagetype-config.xml file and then restarting the server.

So, is it totally impossible to get only the site I want in the "Create From" Field? (Apart from the solution you suggested...)

Also, is it possible to eliminate the Site addresses field? I think its a redundant field as the sites any way get deployed to only one production runtime and that is already pre determined.

You must use Will's solution at this time.

The Create Site screen is not customizable at this time.
