dynamic settting of file extension

Hi,
In Presentation Template, is there a way to dynamically set the extension of the file being generated based on the values entered in the DCR?
For eg., assume there are 2 radio buttons namely html , asp. If the user selects html, the output file should have .html and likewise for asp. That is the extension should be done automatically based on the values entered in the form.

Couple of points:
1. First option is to have 2 PTs (1 each for HTML and ASP) and let the users make decision while generating output
2. Second option could be to make generate part of a workflow. In workflow, add an external task which will first determine user input and then run CLT to generate desired output file.

With regard to the second option - you'd have to use iwpt_compile.ipl *and* explicitly set the EAs on the generated file(s) because iwgen references the templating.cfg file and you can only have one extension listed for a given PT.

There are quite a few other alternative ways to do this - but all of them have one or more 'cons' or caveats to go with them - if the data is always only going to be one or the other (but not both) - then having the two PTs is probably the best solution all around.

In addition to the options stated above, you could also consider using two different data types, with each one having one PT. This would be a good option if the end user is not really choosing file extension, but rather some more "businessy" type of selection that you are making your decision off of.
