I am new to team site , Where Do I find some documentation on integrating an external application with team site?

Talk to your admin, have them download the CSSDK from the support site
@Jereesh On TeamSite server you can view at "...\TeamSite\cssdk\docs" & you can unzip the cssdk_doc.jar file (using 7zip or similar) and you will find the information there in the extracted files & folders
