Insert Client Number into Word Document
ellobie
Hi there, new here, please pardon if I've not followed protocol... I've searched the forums and can't find a previous post on this, so here goes.
My firm is using Desksite 6.05.00 (I know, I know, I hope we update soon too!). We've got a macro in Word, which of course I can't get into, that inserts the document number. I'm sure it's just inserting a DocProperty Word field of the document name.
We have some attorneys who'd like to stamp their documents with the Client/Matter number that is stored in the document's profile. Is this something only iManage will build and sell? Is it very difficult? Our integration is pretty poor (OK for Word, downright ridiculous for Outlook...).
Any thoughts/ideas? Thanks in advance!

We have a sample footer macro that shows how to foot the document with the profile values, namely the client/matter.
Search for technote 22002-567 or "Custom footer macros for Microsoft Word XP/Word 2000 with DeskSite 6.x or infoRite 5.x - ATTACHMENT (Custftx.dot)" under 'knowledge base' from the support site at:
http://worksitesupport.interwoven.com
. You should be able to download the sample footer macro from this technote.

We also have some very powerful and flexible document ID products that you may want to look at:
