Opendeploy target path

how do i deploy to user specified path other than the default c:\interwoven\opendeployng\tmp..

i tried to change to c:\test under odrcvr.xml
and odbase.xml .....when i tried deploying it said fail...but when deploy to default folder it works...
what config did i miss out?

1. One of the functions of odbase.xml on a base server and odrcvr.xml on a receiver is to restrict deployments to specific filesystem paths. These need to be configured correctly

2. After setting the appropriate value for the path, you will need a deployment configuration (the deployment xml file) which is where you define your deployment and as a part of the definition, you need to specify the source (origin) of the files and a target (destination) of the files

Provided you set both these correctly, you will generally be able to successfully deploy your files
(assuming you already have the odnodes.xml setup correctly)

The 'node' under allowedHosts must either match the localNode value from the deployment configuration file or the actual IP address of the BaseServer (or potentially the firewall, if NAT is occurring).

It is unclear from the snippets you posted whether the deployment configuration is setting its localNode to "sender"

also (IIRC), you will need to run iwodserverreset after making the change to odbase.xml

the node is being defined in the odnode.xml.....i was able to deploy to the default path..or any path inside c:\interwoven\opendeployng\tmp\...\...\..
but once i change the path to outside ,deployment will not work..
