Tagging content on Amazon.com

System

I like the way Amazon allows users to tag their own content and manage their tags as well. Does anyone know how they do it? I've looked at the code, but I know I'm not getting the details. I want to apply some of the things they are doing to our sites using metatagger. If anyone knows anything at all about this, please let me know.
Thanks.
