Removing items from the FileSite toolbar
sider
Hi all
Is there a way to remove items from the FileSite 8.2 toolbar in Outlook 2003?
Specifically, 'Copy Emails to WorkSite', 'Move Folders to WorkSite' and 'Copy Folders to WorkSite'.
If it's not possible to remove them, is it possible to 'break' them or intercept them so they do not run?
Thanks
Antony

Does anyone have any ideas? We are plotting an 8.2 migration and I'd like to know what we can do.
Thanks

maybe you could try using the Outlook COM to achieve this
you could create a COM addin, then hook in to the appropriate CommandBar object of the ActiveExplorer. I suppose you should be able intercept/remove the buttons at that level, although I haven't tested this

Yikes!
Thanks for the suggestion, but, yikes!
i was hoping for an undocumented registry setting or something like that, and given the control over nearly everything else, I'm a bit surprised this has been overlooked.
Where should I go to get an official/interwoven response? Is this the best spot, or is there another place to ask these sorts of questions?
Thanks

there are a fair few Interwoven people who contribute here, but if you've bought the WorkSite SDK you should have access to their development support email

Those toolbar items cannot be removed via registry keys or the SDK. There also isn't a way via the SDK to hijack them so that you may disable them.
This should be an enhancement request.

Thanks for the confirmation.
What is the best way to make an ER?

You may submit an enhancement request at

, and click on New Feature Request link.
The product manager and the R&D team do review and evaluate the possibility and feasibility of each request.

FYI - this was implemented in 8.2 Patch 1 :-)
