take task doesn't take task

Hi all,

My workflow genaretd emails for group tasks don't allow members to take tasks, further investigation reveals that the wrong task id is assigned, has anyone had experience with this please?

What program/script are you using to send email from your workflow?
What command line arguments and/or task-level variables are associated with it?
Can you show the definition of the task which sends the email as well as the grouptask that follows it? (wrap the code in [html]...[/html] blocks so it shows up correctly).

Chances are - you are somehow passing the wrong task name to the script so that it is generating the wrong information in the email.

You hit the nail on the head,

I am using .../iwsend_mail_va.ipl -N "Author add/edit files".

Whilst I had used a valid task name, it wasn't the successor to the email/external task so therefore the wrong task Id was bsing returned.

A valuable lesson.
