Geting DCR value in TPL

Hi,

Below is the code to get value in datacapture through javascript...

IWDatacapture.getItem("/Creation Date").getValue();

Now I want to get the value of a particular Item from DCR in TPL..

"iw_value name='dcr.Creation Date'"

above will give the required value in HTML

we need it in javascript?

Can you please tell me how to get it?

Not completely sure what your after.

If you need the value of dcr/Creation Date to be a variable value in the generated page then you can just <iw_value name="dcr.Creation Date"/> it in to the Javascript in the TPL...

var date = "<iw_value name='dcr.Creation Date'/>"
</script>

You could use perl,to do the same thing by:
$dateVar = iwpt_dcr_value('dcr.Creation Date');
for reading the field value

And use also
iwpt_output('$dateVar');
to emmit this value anywhere you want in your presentation output file
