Can an OpenDeploy server on ServerA deploy content from a Teamsite server setup on ServerB to ServerC, if ServerB does not have an OD Baseserver installed?

Just wondering, or does ServerB need to have a Baseserver installed and running?

(I must mention that ServerC has the receiver running.)

You can get away with this setup -- namely, by initiating a reverse deploy... but I'm not sure if a reverse deploy initiated from Server A to Server B can cause Server A to deploy to a tertiary server like Server C.

Just curious, why does Server B not have the base installed?

All in all - you're generally best off installing a BaseServer on ServerB - especially if it is also a TeamSite server - however you do need to make sure you have sufficient licenses to cover the installation.

ServerB can can OD Base or Receiver running on it. I was just wondering if it needed to be there in order to deploy content from Teamsite or Could OD deploy content from a server that does not have OD installed.

From the answers it seems like it can't. I will setup ServerB with the OD base.
