Visual Format Tables Crash

Please help. We're running win2000 Server, TS 6.1, and IE6. It is very easy to make tables crash the browser: Just delete either the only remaining row from a table or the only remaining column from a table. This happens even in uncustomized, default installations of the VFE. Any solutions?
