Import WOM API in WorkRoute JSP Form
billychan
Dear,
Can we import WOM API in WorkRoute JSP Form like doing customization for WSMP?
i.e. Can we put <%@ page import="com.imanage.cms.api.workteam.*" %> in the WorkRoute JSP Form and then use the WOM API in WorkRoute JSP Form?
Thanks.

Didn't tried this but I think this should work. Just put jars at proper place

Dear,
Even using include <% java.lang.system.println("test")%> in WorkRoute Form still fails.
Any idea?

Better to discuss in one thread, life would be more easy.
Well, in WSMP they uses their own taglibs and we couldn't write free jsp code anywhere. It has to be in their format. I remembered, I also get blank jsp page so many times if some syntax/other error and it's very hard to search the error.
Thanks Nicholas

Nicholas,
WSMP does not force any specific JSP format, you are free to use either
JSP Document
(XML file starting with <jsp:root> element) or
JSP Page
(non xml, generally used with <% %>directives). But JSP spec does not allow you to mix both formats in one file, you need to select one of them and stick with it in the entire file. For more detailed information, please refer to JSP 1.2 spec.
Out of the box, WSMP files are in JSP Document format so that we can keep track of your customizations via config tool and later automatically migrate the changes to new releases. But you can choose to use JSP Page format and replace the file completely through conig tool.

Most of the time, you can find the JSP compile errors in worksitemp.log file; this is because in WSMP MVC architecture, the jsp files are included/forwarded from the action classes and any jsp errors/exceptions are caught by the action classes and logged in worksitemp.log. Sometimes you might find some extra messages in JSP engine ogs too.

Please see this thread

for a sample jsp page that uses AppSession and CMS Session.
