remap includes in files
madmax
Hi All,
P.S: In this thread i use "*" instead of "!" to reconsile html comments and readability.
when i try to preview \\server\default\main\Dev\WORKAREA\workarea\test.aspx from teamsite i got the following error msg.
*************************************************
Server Error in '/iw-mount' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parser Error
Description: An error occurred during the parsing of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific parse error details and modify your source file appropriately.
Parser Error Message: Could not find file "C:\test1.txt".
Source Error:
Line 1: <*-- #include file="/test1.txt" -->
Line 2: <*-- #include file="/includes/test2.ascx" -->
Source File: Y:\default\main\Dev\WORKAREA\workarea\test.aspx Line: 1
*******************************************************
The error msg explain clearly that \\server\default\main\Dev\WORKAREA\workarea\test1.txt and \\server\default\main\Dev\WORKAREA\workarea\includes\test2.ascx file is not referencing right .
So i changed the parent referencing to relative reference and it worked which is changing "<*-- #include file="test1.txt" -->" to <*-- #include file="test1.txt" --> and <*-- #include file="/includes/test2.ascx" --> to <*-- #include file="includes/test2.ascx" -->
but actually i can not change those reference in test.aspx file because they will be needed in the deployed server.
so i am thinking of using iwproxyremap. Is it possible to remap "<*-- #include file="/test1.txt" --> to <*-- #include file="test1.txt" --> and <*-- #include file="/includes/test2.ascx" --> to <*-- #include file="includes/test2.ascx" --> inside test.aspx file by using regex?
please advice.

Any advice?
Dwayne
Don't use
<*-- #include
file
="/test1.txt" -->
Instead, try
<*-- #include
virtual
="/test1.txt" -->
The
file
directive tells the web server to look at a filesystem path. You want a web path. Hence the use of
virtual
Note - you may need to install the proxy ISAPI filter into your web server as well.
