Search installation on virtual Win2003 server

Hi,
did anyone try to install TS Search 1.0.0 on a blank virtual Win2003 EE SP1 server?
After starting the "install.bat", the called private.exe causes an core dump.

A snippet out of the Dr. Watson32 logfile:

The last function ("IsProcessorFeaturePresent") causes the problem... seems to be a conflict with the virtual processor (?)

Are you using VMware, MS VirtualPC, or another product to host your vm? If VPC, I can maybe find time to try an installation of search in my virtual machine and see if I get the same problem.

We have one on a Windows 2003 Standard edition with SP1 virtual server.

The installation was done without any issues.

We use VMWARE GSX 3.2.0

Hi,
we use MS Virtual Server 2005 R2.

After some testings, I can say, that it seems to be that the virtual server is not the problem.
We ran the the search installer on the physical host itself, and we got the above error message, too.

The host hardware contains two AMD Opteron 275 CPUs, not any Intel CPU.
Perhaps TS installer is not compatible to AMD Opteron 275 CPUs?! Does anyone heard of this?
There's nothing to find about CPU requirements in the documentation or the compatibility matrix...

Which CPUs are you using?

Hi, Our server where VMWARE is installed, contains Intel xeon CPUs.

No, I've never heard about imcompatibility with AMD cpus.
