Connection Failed

Gidday All,

We have installed TS 6.7 on our dev server, running solaris 10. I have copied some content across when I click on a html page to view it in the browser, we get the following error.

Connection Failed
iwproxy was unable to open a connection to: 127.0.0.1:81
Reason: Connection refused.

Can anyone help

i am having the same error as well...i have check my IIS..i place the it under defauly which is running on port 81.....

Did you configure the custom web server in iw.cfg file ?

customer_webserver_host=
iwproxy_port=
customer_webserver_port=

iwproxy_host= localhost
customer_webserver_host= pcname.domain
iwproxy_port=1080
customer_webserver_proxy=81

anything wrong with this??what is iwproxy_port?

have you installed apache or iPlanet on the dev box?

what is iwproxy_port?

Why that is the port that the proxy runs on. Smiley Happy

iwproxy is a daemon that runs ans intercepts all web traffic to any file inside the TS repository. It allows one to map different pages (by type, directory, etc) to different docroots, servers, etc.

It is a very powerful application and is easy to break. So after a lot of training, start playing with the proxy settings. The admin guide talks about specific examples.

so you can go to
http://hostname:81/

and you see the IIS startup screen ?

You need to install a "customer web server", usually it is done before TS install, and usually it is configured to run on port 81.

I believe you have not configured IIS correctly, Double check it the following 2 properties.

Both port should not be same.

[iwcgi]
use_iwproxy=yes

[iwproxy]
iwproxy_host= localhost
customer_webserver_host=
iwproxy_port=1080
customer_webserver_port=81
