Stripping Of URL Assistance

Hi All!

I have following code - $URL=~ s|^/?htdocs||; to strip out /htdocs for URL select with in DCR selection.

Funniest thing is that it works with in one template without any issues and I use same code with in different template and stripping of htdocs doesn't work. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Post a sample file where it works and more importantly where it does not.

As Andy said, we'll need to see examples of where it doesn't work but I'm wondering why your regex is constricted with a "?" after the initial /? Would it be more appropriate to state it as:

$URL=~ s|^/htdocs/|/|;

I added the other slashes because you could, conceivably, have a folder called "htdocsstuff" or something that starts with htdocs and I imagine you would want to preserve that. It's just when it references the docroot that you want to bring it one level down, no?

The ? was probably added because at some point not all paths were entered with a leading /.
