Problem retrieving xml attribute

Is there a new way of referencing xml attributes in FormAPI for 6.5?
We've just upgraded from 5.5.2 -> 6.5

I have this line in my javascript

var teamName = IWDatacapture.getItem("/ORGANIZATION/TEAM/@name").getValue();

Which used to work fine. However, now it seems to be causing errors. When I remove the @name I no longer get an error. Is there a new way of referencing xml attributes in FormAPI for 6.5?

I've attached an example xml file. If anyone knows how to retrieve the "name" attribute under "TEAM" please enduldge me.

I think you want:

var teamName = IWDatacapture.getItem("/ORGANIZATION/TEAM").getValue('@name');

- I'm not sure how or why your previous syntax ever worked - but it doesn't look correct to me

Hmm - on re-reading this - I now realize that while you were talking about FormAPI, I was thinking about PT processing / XMLnode syntax.

I just looked at the FormAPI manual and can find no reference to being able to retrieve attributes of elements anywhere in it.

So - I'm even more mystified as to how this could have worked in previous versions of TS - and think you're out of luck with the existing system. About the only thing I can think of would be to suggest adding a feature request.

I'm not entirely sure I'm following what you are trying to do...

Do you want the name attribute of the item? If so, there's a method for returning that ( getName() ) and similar for description, label, and regex. Or do you want an attribute from the xml of the DCR? If the latter, there isn't any way to do that unless the attribute has an associated item in the DCT - which presumably it would unless you have some import process or someting creating your DCRs and not validating them against the DTD that you have the DCT using.
