Calling user defined subroutines in tpls

Hi,
I am using email templates provided by TS in it's solutions workflow.
While customizing the templates I needed some common functions and put them in one ipl file.

The email templates are nested, that means one template is calling another e.g. va_mailbody_author.tpl is calling va_file_list.tpl.
Now I am including myfile.ipl in va_file_list.tpl and calling a subroutine written in it.

while compiling (using iwpt_compile.ipl) va_mailbody_author.tpl it gives me error saying va_file_list.tpl is not valid template.
When I compile va_file_list.tpl it doesn't give any error.
If I comment out the particular function-call then va_mailbody_author.tpl is compiled successfully.
Does it mean I can not include (require myfile.ipl) in nested template?

I'm not entirely sure I understand what you're doing - but it sounds like you're doing it incorrectly.

If you want to create re-usable perl subroutines - you should do so in a module (.pm) not a script (.ipl) - and for easiest integration within TeamSite you should store the module within IWHOME/iw-perl/site/lib - so that you can use the standard use module-name; directive without having to hack together a use lib "lib-path"; directive.

If you get that part cleaned up - it might fix your other problem. If it doesn't, you'll have to post the actual code for folks here to have a reasonable chance of debugging it for you - but I think you need to spend a bit more time trying to debug it yourself first.
