LiveSite supported clients and app server

debus

Can someone advise what browser clients and app servers are supported for LiveSite 2.2 ?

The compatibility charts and release notes have different information.

The Compat. charts say that IE 5.5/6.0 and Mozilla 1.6 are supported but the release notes say only IE 6.0 or greater is supported.

The Compat. charts say Tomcat, Weblogic & Websphere app servers are supported but the release notes only have Tomcat & Websphere are supported.

Thanks.

Hi--

LiveSite 2.2 has a TeamSite piece and a Runtime application server piece.

The TeamSite piece supports TeamSite-specific browsers which afaik, is IE 5.5+.

The Runtime application, as of 2.2, runs in:

Tomcat, WebLogic 8.1 ( no 9.0 support yet ), and WebSphere. It is not certified on JDK1.5 yet however support for 1.5 is planned for TeamSite 6.7.1 and LiveSite 3.0, both due out tenatively late Q3/early Q4.

As far as supported browsers on the runtime, most browsers should be supported... it's mostly up to the component developer since they create the XSL that generates the (X)HTML/WML code.

Hi Peter, Shanon,

The support site shows that LiveSite 2.2 is compatible with BEA Weblogic 8.1. But the product documentation says that the only compatible app serers are Tomcat, IBM WAS, and SUN ONE.

We have verified with APAC support and they say BEA is not compatible with LiveSite 2.2

Can you please throw some light on this.
