Teamsite rights

I have a group of users in the same department and group that when they try to access iwserver\default\main\allweb tells them they only have access to view rights on the directory.

When I check each users rights on the directory they have full rights. When they try to edit a file says they don't have rights to do that.

I checked the parent dirs and see nothing that I think would cause this issue. One of the users has the Master License for Teamsite.

I place one user in the local admin group for the server and she still couldn't access files.

Running Teamsite 6.1 Sp2 on W2K3

The "directory" you are expecting to have write access - iwserver\default\main\allweb - looks like it corresponds to a TeamSite "branch". If that is the case, it explains why the permission is read-only on that directory. Can you give an example (fullpath) of the file you are trying to edit along with relevant details? If the file you are trying to edit is in a workarea (as opposed to say STAGING area), what are the file permissions on that file? Is the user a member of the group for sharing of the workarea?
