How to detect OLE Links

Worksite is aware of OLE Links (WorkSite Link Objects). How can you determine this from the API? I am trying to script a checkout process that will checkout objects in reverse dependency order, so that the links will open checked-out copies of the files, instead of the read-only 'download' copies.
