I am duplicating this thread to WSMP forum, may be I could get some clue here.

TS 6.5 SP2 ECm Patch, Win2K SP4

I am trying to connect to WorkSite MP 4.1 SP1 HFB7 using ECM Connector 2.0. When I open WSMP setup window in TS - Admin TAB - ECM Con - WSMP first time it came up properly. I put the values and saved it.

But some problem(probably wrong info) is there and not able to connect to WSMP repository and when I re-opened the WSMP setup window, it doesn't come/load up.

I would like to get more information on this so that we can figure out if the product has a bug. Can you please file a support case. The most useful piece of information will be anything logged in the servletd log file after the error happens.

You can reset the out-of-the-box configuration by going into /local/logs directory and copying ecmconnector.cfg.example over top of ecmconnector.cfg. If your TeamSite server is running on Solaris, make sure the ecmconnector.cfg files is owned by the "iwui" user.

We have a similar setup as you (TS6.5 SP2 with ECM patch on Solaris, WSMP4.1 SP1 HFB7 on Win2003 Server). We are able to connect to our WSMP cluster from a local development teamsite server, but not from our remotely-hosted test and production teamsite servers, even though we've opened up all communications between them through the firewall. The case has been with Support for quite a while now.
Just wondering, have you resolved your issue and/or what progress has been made so far?

I'm working with support (N.B. Singh) on John's case with the firewall issue. It sounds to me like Nicholas is having a different problem (unless I misunderstood his post).

Nicholas: The admin UI in TeamSite for configuring the WSMP connection somehow got corrupted and won't render. In other words, the UI is messed up.

John: The UI renders just fine, but you get a "cluster is not available" message, presumable because of the firewall blocking some traffic (test systems without firewall between them works fine). Very sorry for the long delay in resolving this issue -- we have been working on it, but it crosses several products and your network topology, so we have not been able to reproduce it in-house (which makes troubleshooting much more difficult). We are currently trying to add some more debugging to the WSMP API (called the WOM) that is used by the ECM Connector to get more diagnostic information.

I have not get connected successfully yet. I just put all information and said OK. Thereafter I am not not able to connect to WSMP and also not able to see the ECM connector WSMP setting screen.

A wild guess here: you cannot connect to the MP server if there is NAT going on anywhere between the client (TeamSite in this case) and the MP server itself.

A quick way to check is to run ipconfig on the MP server machine and a ping from the TeamSite machine and make sure the IP addresses match.

Was a resolution to this issue ever found? I'm experiencing the same thing...TeamSite Administration tab, the config screen won't come back for the ECM Connector - WorkSite MP.

Maksure the DNS name resolutions happen between teamsite and WSMP Servers .
