From which application? If you are in an Office application, you can use the PreOnOK events of the Office integration

of the Import and Save commands.

trap the BeforeSaveAsOptions event

it's fired before every save action (regardless of whether it's a native FileSave, native FileSaveAs, WorkSite Save, WorkSite SaveAs)
