empty row in database

Hi All,

Let’s assume I have a container in my DCT and it contains item A, B, C and D(which are not required item). And my ddconf looks like –

Now whenever Item A, B, C and D are left empty by user then I have a database record with only path value and 4 empty columns which is kind of useless in database.

Is there anyway I can delete the record if all the columns except my primary key are null in my database?

Any suggestion/pointer/RTFM(with specific reference of course :-)) is appreciated.

Try allows-null="no" so that it does not insert empty values.

allows-null="no" means it will look for value and i will get data deploy error msg.

there should be some other way to resolve this issue.

I think you'd need to write some sort of tuple pre-processor - or do the whole thing with something like Perl DBI (or java equivalent) and skip using DD - whichever way you find easier.
