OD6.02 Issue

Hi,All
I have configured the Base(OD6.02) and Receiver with port 80,when I try to deploy I receive the following error :

TEventReportingException: com.interwoven.report100.TPublisherNotFoundExcepti on

My Questions :
What is EventReporting ?Can I stop it ?and when I deploy files from Base to Receiver ,Do the Event report in Base need to talk to Receiver ?If I stop the Event report service ,the deployment process can work well? because Receiver machine can open only one port(80) in customer environment .I mean if Receiver only have one port(80),it can receive Base data ?if do ,How should I do ?

Generally this exception comes when either base or reciever server not running.
Make sure your base is running
Also try pinging reciever server on port 80?

Event reporting is capturing the deployment events including files transferred, deleted, etc.
It is enabled / disabled within the server configuration file (odbase.xml / odrcvr.xml) - read the documentation for more information.
