Sorting order in Teamsite

Hello,

i have a call-out written in datacapture.cfg in which we get some values from database and then sort it out and then store it in textarea.

After i save this DCR, the sorting order changes and if i view this DCR in view mode, i could see the order of the data stored has been changed.

i guess Teamsite is using its own sorting order to store the data in DCR.

In TS 5.5, it used to save the values in DCR in the order which we used to set. But after the upgrade to TS 6.5 SP2, this functionality is no more working.

Is there a way to overwrite the sorting order internal to Teamsite with our own sorting logic??

As far as I know TeamSite does not sort anything stored in a textarea of a DCR. Perhaps if you can post your datacapture.cfg and a sample DCR, somebody can take a look and point you in the right dirction.

In TS 5.5, it used to get stored in DCR as A,B,C,D. But now in TS6.5, it stores it in some random fashion fore.g. B,D,A,C something like this. I dont think there is some sorting logic within TS but it saves the data in the random order and not in the order which we have given.

It doesn't make sense that, within a text area, TeamSite would be sorting the rows. After all - the data is often not coming from a callout, but from a user entering the data manually. It would certainly be unreasonable for TeamSite to change the data that the user had entered.

I suspect there's something else going on, and I suggest you take iwovGraduate's advice and post your DCR (as well as the DCT, your JSP callout, and any FormAPI code you're using, if possible).

While it is possible that this is happening on the TeamSite side - I think it is far more likely that the problem is in the callout - which perhaps was not verified after the upgrade?
