Search installation order?

The installation here chose not to install search until now. We are at TeamSite 6.5 SP2. I have seen forum threads that refer to problems if search is not installed in the correct order.

I have downloaded Search 1.0.0, SP1, and SP2. If I install them in that order, should it work correctly? Does anyone have any direct experience with this?

You can probably skip SP1 - since SP2 should be cumlative.

I have heard the same sort of things, but we did not run into it on the most recent install I've touched. In that case, my customer had installed TD 6.5 and then SP1 and SP2. The following day he installed Search, followed by search SP1 and SP2. That sounds like exactly the same order you have. So far, search is working as usual and I haven't seen any problems.

As adam suggested, you can install Search 1.0 and later sp2 directly. No need of installaing sp1 again, because, all the which are covered by sp1 are covered by sp2
