What is the going rate these days?

airbear

Hi All:

I am about to hit the job market again after a short time away and I am wondering what the market rate is for Teamsite developers?

I have a couple of years of teamsite administration and template development. I know a little perl, but aside from some simple workflows, I have not used it for doing any customizing of the system. I worked on a windows system that used MSSQL for the database. I am in the Los Angeles area and there does not appear to be a lot of jobs here for Teamsite.

Any info that people are willing to share would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Airbear

Well, it really depends on your experience and where you are looking. Your experience doesn't sound all that great (no offense), so I wouldn't be looking for anything too great in terms of rate. Depending on the area, if you can find something in the $40-50/hr range, I think you should take it.

Just my $.02.

I think Jeff hit the rate pretty accurately for your experience.

I also think Jeff underpriced himself at $.02, I think you are worth at least a nickel. Smiley Very Happy

Thanks Jeff and nipper. That is better than I was thinking so that makes me happy. I appreciate your input. :-)
