Best way for Content Expiry

Hi All ,

Using TS 6.5 SP1 Window 2003

We have to design a Content Expiry approach . I searched through the devnet for different approaches for content expiry .

But could not get much .

Could anyone share me the content expiry for ( both dcr & jsp ) approach that he is using .

And also how these expired content are taken away from the actual site .

Rohit,
One way of doing the same is to add two items within your DCT... 1) Last Effective Date and 2) Enabled / Disabled.

While saving can check for the current date and accordingly set enabled/disabled and same value can be used while generating the JSPs.

Other way you can write a script for checking the creation date and could decide a time period (for example 3 months, 6 months etc). This would be a one time process in a month or as per your need.
