I am TS6.7 on win2003 sp1. I have this error which pop-up recently. My Templates were working fine and i can preview/generate any DCR. Now all of a sudden this is my error.

Connection Failed
iwproxy was unable to open a connection to: DLIWD51.dcs.nec.prv:81
Reason: No error.

I have checked my services, everything is working fine, do anyone know whats going wrong?

Did you check if the customer web server is running on port 81?

Bhargav Coca

Yes customer web server is running on port 81.

Is there anything else i should be checking? I even restarted my machine lately, bu that didn't even fix the problem. Please help.
Thank you

nipper

just to be clear, when you open a browser with this address: DLIWD51.dcs.nec.prv:81 you see the main apache/IIS screen.

Bhargav Coca

i have tried this and give me a

The page cannot be displayed

Error

Thanks

Well that is where TS thinks your web server is running. What part of that is incorrect ? You said the webserver is running on port 81, have you verified it ? Is the servername/domain correct ?

Bhargav Coca

yes the server name is DLIWD51
and domain is dcs.nec.prv
and the

[iwproxy]
iwproxy_host=localhost
customer_webserver_host=DLIWD51.dcs.nec.prv
iwproxy_port=1080
customer_webserver_port=81

I don't see anything wrong here.

Thanks

nipper

but if you cannot see anything when you put http://DLIWD51.dcs.nec.prv:81// in your browser then, while TS *thinks* it is running on port 81, it is not running there.

Is this apache or IIS ? You need ot check the configuration of the webserver and change it to run on 81. The iw.cfg just tells TS it is running on port 81.

Bhargav Coca

I guess the port is 80 not 81, so should i have to change the port numebr in iw.cfg and do a iwreset??
Please advice
Thanks

nipper

Is this a different server from the TeamSIte server ? Then it is OK to leave it on 80. Change iw.cfg and iwreset -a

If, however this is the server that has TS as well, then you have a conflict and you would need to change the server config.

This servere has teamsite on it, so as you said there might be conflict. But while configuring or say while installation i have chosen the default values and every worked fine. Not its raising a conflict.. how can this be possible?

What should i reconfigure here.

Thank you

TeamSite installation assigns port 80 to web daemon and port 81 to customer web server. You can find the default setting in the TeamSite installation guide.

Most likely someone might have reconfigured the customer web server. Check the customer web server configuration to see which port its configured.

nipper

what webserver are you using ? IIS or apache ?

Bhargav Coca

I am using IIS

Thanks

nipper

from the computer desktop, go to computer management (right click on my computer and select manage if you do not already know), Services & Applications, Internet Information Services, right click on Default Web Site,
Web Site tab TCP Port change from 80 to 81.

Bhargav Coca

I knew this, i have changed it to 81, not it gives me this error while previewing.

"An error has occurred while trying to access HOPI"

Should i add this part in iw.cfg

[iwserver]
hopi_port=8898

Please advice.
