I'm using OD 6.1 / DD 6.1 in Windows/Solaris and Linux Environments (how's that for cross platform... now I just need HP and AIX)
I'm using target side deployments as well where the receiver is receiving the EA manifest file and then uploading the metadata into an Oracle DB). I'm using the dbloader functionality to achieve this and I know I can use the file I'm looking to encode my DB password.
I know that the Database tag in database.xml has an option the ability to encode the password (password-encoded="yes") but from what I understand, it is only to be used with the iwsyncdb command (where it is decoded at run time).
Is there a way to encode the database password using dbloader or is it somehow being done for me if I add the option in the database tag?
