Data validation

I am looking for a method to validate data entered by a user. I would like to validate data for the c13alias field within the document profiles and in the WW component, The format would be 'AXXXXXXXX'. I am using Worksite 7.5 sp2 & version 4.3 sp2.

I don't have WSW 4.3 code readily available, but if memory serves me correctly, there should be a JavaScript doSubmit() function that you can hook into on the client-side. You can perform your validation using RegExp. Alternatively, you can perform validation in the server-side postback. The file for document profiles is <WorkSite_Install_Directory>/scripts/DocumentProfile.asp.
