Installing Content Services (OD)

Hi all,
I am trying to install OpenDeploy (ODAdmin60200Build46963.exe) but during the process of installation Content Services gives the error "The instruction at '0x004109d0' referenced at memory '0x00000000'. The momory could not be 'written'".This is causing due to private.exe. Afetr installation I am able to see the gui of OD but can't login.
Please let me know why this is happening and what should n how I install this successfully.

What error are you getting when you can not log into the Admin GUI?

The installation process stops in between just before installing Content Services, So to install contentservices manually I extracted the setup.exe of OpenDeploy Admin setup and tryed to install Content Service But it gives error to private.exe.

The installers weren't designed to be picked apart and installed separately - if it works, you're lucky - if it doesn't work, you get pretty much what can be expected.

I suggest you again uninstall OD and the AdminServer - and then carefully search the registry to make sure that all traces of both are removed from the system - then - re-install the products as directed by the documentation.

My guess is you are not on Windows 2003, but rather on Windows 2003 R2 (SP1) and if that is the case then you need to turn on "DEP for essential Windows programs and services only" option in Windows 2003 and reinstall the Opedeploy Admin. This issue is due to a security feature of Windows 2003 and InstallAnywhere6.0.

Option 3: Make the change to Windows 2003 and then run the OD Admin installation a second time will install the Content Services (AccessService).

Thanks, it worked but partially, I turned on the "DEP for essential Windows programs and services only" option in Windows 2003 and reinstalled the Opedeploy Admin but meanwhile Content ServiceFoundation it shows an error:
"InstallManager.install error -cannot determine current product version, upgrade is impossible"
And after the error message the installation aborted.
The log and error screen shot attached.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Start fresh. Uninstall the admin service, make sure any old installation are removed. Search the file system for any remaining folders and registry for any remaining particals from old versions. Then try agian.

If all else fails read the manual and contact Intewoven Support.
