Running workflows within EDITION

I was trying to write a workflow with filelist deployment to copy files from EDITION to a WORKAREA. The workflow failed to run in EDITION as it does not contain iw_workarea value. TeamSite Workflow does not have iw_edition variable too. I was unable to retrieve the vpath of the selected file.

Can anyone please enlighten or provide me with a workflow solution that can run in EDITION?

does it have to be a workflow? I could think of a custom menu item....

Also, within a workflow you could possibly use a file browser to get a file list (one by one), save the list, and then run the deployment....

I am not sure, whether it is possible to run a woorkflow from a EDITION as it never passes out the edition path as the workarea.

Try to set readonly attribute to true for your tasks and I hope it will work fine.
