More than 1/2 hr taken to insert large documents ( > 15/20 MB) into blob ??

HI..
I am trying to copy a file from a physical directory of Oracle database to a blob field of oracle. This functionality
is performed by Teamsite5.5 . If the file is less than 10 MB, uploading the document in the blob field takes within few
minutes. But if the document (file) size is more than 15/20 MB, it takes more than half hr to perform the above task.

Has anybody run into this problem and if so how to resolve it.

you could use dbi iwperl and call oracle SP to do that task.
This should improve the perfromance than thru teamsite..

Could you please help me with this information.
Are you uploading these files to the physical directory via the DCR.
If yes, did you use the browser item for that?.....Or do you handle the upload via a cgi upload utility.
