VFE formatting problem ( using external editor )

Hi ,

Using TS 6.5 SP1 Win 2003

I am using VFE in my DCTs .

I have to embed some content from Microsoft Word document .

What I do is click on 'Word' icon on VFE toolbar . Word opens up .

Enter some bulleted points on Word editor . Close the word editor .....the text starts appearing in VFE . When we generate the page .....the content is not well formated as it was on Word .

It is very much frustrating for the content authors to struggle with the formattting issue of their content entered through VFE .

Also if i use Roman Bullets in Word , then copy it into VFE they are converted into 1,2,3 ......

Could anyone let me know ..what is the best way to tackel this problem .

do you clean up the HTML from Microsoft-induced rubbish?

Also, there is a known problem with some bulletpoints in Word. They are not translated into items, but rather into some custom code.

Check the internet resources if this is not your case...
