Workflow not working for multiple DCRs

Hi,

I have written a deletion workflow. It deletes the dcr from workarea, staging and also deletes HTML pages from webserver and data from database.

It's working fine when i select one dcr and submit it with deletion workflow but not working when i select multiple DCRs.

I have attached external task code for calling the IPL which takes care of all these activities...

Nitesh,

Firstly, briefly write about the environment you are using.

Secondly, as the activities you are performing are working perfectly for a single DCR.. then it is sure that there is no issue with the workflow. As workflow only calls up the external file to be executed.

Now the questions arises are:

1. How you are adding the files to the workflow?

2. If possible, please attach the external file code that is doing all the mentioned activities.

What you've attached doesn't really show anything.

What exactly isn't working? Is the external task bombing out? Are the files not getting deleted from the workarea? Are they not getting removed from staging? Are the related html files not being deleted from the workarea? Are they not being removed from staging? Are the related assets not being removed from the database?

Tell us what you are experiencing, don't just say it dosn't work, that doesn't help much.

You'll also want to attach your entire wft. And if the problem is that an external task is hanging, you'll want to attach that as well.

For one DCR everything is working fine but if we select multiple DCRs.. it's still working for just one DCR.. i mean in case of multiple DCR also everything is working just for one... for others nothing is happening.. I guess it is not able to call the command itself for other DCRs...

Do all of the files get attached to the workflow ok? If so, please post your external script (dp_deletion_deploy_area.ipl).

It looks like you have your TeamSite server configured to pass the file list on the command line and your script is only grabbing the first file ($ARGV[3]).

You're going to need to rework this script to get all of the files (preferrably using TeamSite::WFtask->GetFiles()) and then loop through each one. If you need help, post what you are trying and I'm sure someone will be happy to help.

You need to use a big foreach loop to iterate through each file attached to the workflow.
