Metatagger

Hi!

When I enter TM (trademark symbol) in metatagger UI, in workflow ipl file it is displaying as "Γäó". Is there need to set any character set , something of that sort..

Because of this I am not able to get the ASCII value of TM symbol..

Please advice...

Instead of TM i can put equavlent html entity code or iso code.

But in my case user puts TM symbol.....I want to catch that TM symbol & get the equalvlent ascii code, Since I am getting "Γäó" characters for TM i am not able to get the ascii code .

Just put ISO code. in your case & # 1 5 3 ; [assume no space]

Becasue these are the special charaters. "TM", this is not a combination of character T & M. This is itself one character and can not be written using T & M

Thanks...I understood your explanation. There is no solution if user puts TM (trade mark) symbol. User has to put either equalvnt iso code or html entity code..

FYI-
MetaTagger internally processes everything as UTF-8. Unless you are needing something specifically in the ISO or other encoding you can do a control on all scripts, code, xml and metadata so it is encoded in UTF-8. This is helpful in that you do not have to keep converting one to the other and back.
Just a heads up.
