LiveSite Preview and Proxy

Antharix

Hello All,

Is a proxy associated with LiveSite page preview?
How is proxy configured for LiveSite preview pages?

If a link is placed in the page content, what needs to be configured to enable navigation to the target location when the link is clicked in preview screen.

Your thoughts are highly appriciated.

for linking to pages you should allways use the $PAGE_LINK[relative page path] token this will correctly inject the url needed for development and production There is a page link Datum that you can use in our component. Please see the developer guide

Links to other LiveSite pages should be handled through the Page Link datum. Links to other files should be prepended with $URL_PREFIX, like this: href="$URL_PREFIX/area/relative/path/to/file.extension".

The standard TeamSite proxy handles LiveSite preview requests and will set up the value of $URL_PREFIX appropriately. I don't think you need to do anything special to set that up.

I get the following message whenever i preview a livesite page.

"Unable to preview because no sites are available. Create a site and try the preview again."

I am not sure why. Will a iwreset -ui solve the problem? or any other?

please advice.

Did you create a site and try the preview again?

It's also possible that you don't have read permission to the site. You need to have read permission to the site file, site directory, "sites" directory, and workarea.

Will Thanks for the update. I realised that the issue was with permissions.
