callout that will open other application

Hi there,

Will it be possible to call other application in DCT? User click a button then open up other application. Let say it existing application written in JSP, user selects and then it should be save in Teamsite DCT. Will that be possible?

Please advise.

Its Possible using callserver, oncallout of that button call a function, in that finction code for callserver by calling your JSP or whatever.

Is this an interactive or non-interactive application?
If it is non-interactive - the use of CallServer (as suggested) should work.
If it is interactive - then you'd probably need a [cgi-]callout with a URI to the CGI program, which could utilize JSP code I suppose - or a CGI wrapper that redirects to the JSP code, or something like that.

In either case, the code would need to access the FormAPI layer of the DCT in order to send data back to the DCT/DCR - read the FormAPI documentation for more information regarding that.

that's the tricky part how to send back the data from DCT/DCR.
Let say if user click select or any button.
