Workflow task assigned to a group are visible to a different group

Our Production environment has three groups for editorial task, TS_ED_EUROPE, TS_ED_NA, TS_ED_LATAM. Apparently editor of EUROPE can see LATAM Task, which are not assigned to the Europe group. We have looked and compared permissions on staging, we do not have this problem in staging.
All the files looks good! but a specific group is seeing all the tasks of other group.
Can anyone help me resolving this issue.

Are you using local groups or LDAP/AD ?

They can't take the tasks but they don't want to see the tasks which are assigned to other group members. We are using local groups.

On WORKFLOW tab and TASKS area, what they have selected as the value with in the drop down for View?

My Open Tasks/My Complete Tasks/Unassigned Tasks/All Tasks/My Pending Tasks.

Please reconfirm the same on both staging as well as production environment.

As the users are working on Standard version of Teamsite, they don't have options like My Open Tasks/My Complete Tasks/Unassigned Tasks/All Tasks/My Pending Tasks as you said kaalraa. All the options they have is My Tasks/Group Tasks. In Group Tasks mode, a group is seeing all the other group tasks too.

Are these users limited to logging in as editors? or has someone, perhaps by accident, also given them the ability to login as masters (perhaps without them knowing it)? I'm not sure, but I believe master users can see all grouptasks regardless of whether they are a member of the group (this is a vague guess / shot-in-the-dark).

Unfortunately I think you'll have to do a lot more investigating by yourself because you're in the environment where this problem is occurring and we aren't.

I have checked all the config. files and everything seems good. And also compared them to the staging environment, and they look similar. So, I have no idea about what to do next.

Try enabling the verbosity options for user information in the iw.cfg file (can't remember the directives off the top of my head, sorry) - and do an iwreset, then remove the directives followed by another iwreset, then instpect the log file results.

After that - if nothing shines the light - contact support

Is this anyway related to the cfg file submit.cfg, because i am getting some errors to read the submit.cfg file in iwtrace.log file. Isn't the submit.cfg file is read by the workflow before submitting the files to staging i.e., at the end of the workflow? (while in my case, the problem starts at the starting of the workflow).

Any more ideas please...

The submit.cfg (or absence thereof) is completely distinct from workflow processing - it is read/processed (if present) by the TeamSite server at the point of file submission.

If you are getting messages about the submit.cfg in the iwtrace.log it is probably because you do not have a submit.cfg (there is no submit.cfg shipped with TeamSite - neither is there a submit.cfg.example)

Depending on the workflow, the tasks in question, and settings within ContentCenter (at least Professional, don't know about Standard) there are a number of possibilities here. You need to provide a LOT more detail - but frankly, I think you need to do a LOT more investigation work on your end first - which might dramatically reduce the amount of information you'd need to provide here for us to help you.
