Add Permissions - MediaBin Windows Client

Hi,

When right-clicking on a folder in the Windows Client and adding permissions, all the available domains are in the drop-down window.

I experience that if a domain has a lot of entries (e.g. I have one with 60+K users), the Windows Client cannot display them and just displays a grey box saying "Gathering user information...". The workaround here (and the faster way to do it anyway) is to search for the user or group by clicking on the search button.

I am wondering though what the threshold is for the amount of domain entries that the MediaBin Windows Client can process/display.

I am not sure if this is entirely related but if you have to bulk edit permissions then it would be better to use the container permissions script in the SDK download available on the support site.

There is no hard and fast rule as it depends on the response from the domain controller. However, as you noted, search is the preferred method of interaction.
