Hello All,

We are into MetaTagger PoCs.

Before beginning, I just needed some expert guidance from you.

We are planning to do the following:

1. Attach the metadata to assets existing in MediaBin. Export the asset Metadata XML File. Set this file as extended attribute to the assets imported from MediaBin into TS repository using ECM Connector 2.0

2. Attach Metadata to assets/content in TeamSite. Export the asset/content Metadata XML File. Set this file as extended attribute to the assets/content in TS.

We have not started yet. We are eagerly awaiting guidelines and Best practices for doing the same.

ECM Connector will transfer metadata from MB to TS automatically as part of the content fetch. It's rendered as an XML formatted extended attribute. TPL's and workflow can usually leverage it using the iwextattr command to pull it out then use XSLT or similar to extract what you need from it. You'll get better support for ECM Connector than a more customized approach.
