to show Actual Image instead of preview image by using web services

I have developed asp.net page to show image preview by using web services. Here my questions are
1. is there any way to show actual image instead of preview image
2. Is it possible to give download option to users for this image?

Image previews in MediaBin are handled via a different mechanism from the originals. Basically the previews are pre-cached JPEG images with well-defined resolutions (512x512, 256x256...16x16 or whatever dimensions will have the correct aspect ratio and fit in the indicated box with the further constraint that previews are never bigger than the original). These can be obtained synchronously.

To get the original would involve queuing a job to retrieve it and therefore would be considerably more involved. Whiile not impossible by any means, it would involve somewhat different code.

Many thanks for your reply. Could you please suggest the steps how to show actual image, it would be great if you can share any sample code to implement the same and one more concern is how to implement “download asset“option.

The WebService SDK contains sample C# code on how to retrieve an image. The SDK is installed with the webservice in the inetpub\wwwroot\MediaBinWebService directory.
