creating links, TS doesn't remember pathways?

One of our end-users emailed me this question and I was wondering if there is a work-around for it.

What do you (they) mean by "creating links" - are you (they) talking about symlinks on a Unix OS? or about selecting something like images or something for a hyperlink in a DCT/DCR context?

I think that in order to get the behavior you want - you would need to provide you own callout and have that callout preserve state information via a cookie or something similar.

Alternatively (or additionally, depending on how you look at it) - file a feature request with Support and perhaps IWOV will provide that kind of functionality for you.

We have reported this as a usability issue to Interwoven. Of course we have never heard back if they'll fix this or not. To me its just plain poor user interface design.

Supposedly they will be fixing some usability issues in 6.7.1 sp1 but no idea which ones - we've reported a lot of them.

At Iwov feature request often become future request. Long term future that is. :-)
