restore error in iwtrace.log

System

I'm getting the follow error repeated continuously in my iwtrace log. The store location it is pointing to does not exist and I don't know that it ever would have. Any ideas as to what could cause this? I'm on TS6.5 - W2003. Thanks in advance!

Brian,
Are you saying that the F:\iw-store location does not exist?

Thanks for your response. The store exists at F:\iw-store, however subdirectory "F:\iw-store\default\d0\d13\" does not. Any thoughts?

I suggest you run iwfsck -d on your backing store (while TS is down - or on a good copy of the backing store instead) and probably open a case with Support.

Thanks for the tip ghoti. I did open a support case. I'll try iwfsck and report my results.

It turns out the issue was that I swapped a backup store with the current store, both of the same name. Regardless that the IW services were shut down at the time of the swap, TeamSite doesn't apparently like that unless you deactivate and delete the old store prior to bringing in the replacement. The other alternative is the give the root of the new store a different name. We found this out by deactivating the current store (for which the errors were being thrown), then renaming it and bringing it back up. It was then error free. Very odd. Another problem this created was that it made java eat memory like mad.

Below is the related KB support told me was relevant. Despite that it is written for 4.5 on Solaris, they said it was still applies.

I'd also be curious to hear anyones opinions on the subject. Does this make any sense...
